I earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2010 and my Juris Doctor degree in 2013. I've been working as a tutor since I was in junior high. I am able to tutor several forms of social studies (including American history, government, politics, and economics), as well as work with students to improve writing and editing of college essays. My specialties are public speaking, essay work, and the LSAT. I believe public speaking is a crucial element of success, no matter the career. I also enjoy helping students improve their academic performance, including strengthening their essays and preparing for standardized testing. I have experience with all portions of the LSAT, including Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, the Essay Section, and Reading Comprehension. I believe in a hands-on teaching style. I am dependable, available when students need me, and will give them the encouragement and skills needed to reach their goals. In my tutoring sessions, the student and I develop a plan based on each student's specific needs, and we use this plan to take them to the next level. I believe in allowing the student's individual needs to inform our tutoring sessions. Rather than creating a "one size fits all" plan, I strive to remain adaptable so that every student receives the assistance they need. In my personal life, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and playing basketball.
